Summary

The team focus on the assets that form the foundation of our transport system. This apprenticeship is critical in ensuring the performance, maintenance and safety of the Elizabeth line, its stations, and assets. You will be responsible for ensuring our assets are operating at peak performance in order to carry millions of passengers per year.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

The first year will expose you to the various teams across TfL RfLI Elizabeth Line Maintenance team including planning, health & safety, and Engineering.

Complete rostered placements across the following disciplines:

  • Permanent Way Track
  • Telecoms
  • Electrification & Signalling working alongside our technicians
  • Work with a team of qualified and licensed engineers & technicians, who will provide oversight and guidance throughout your Programme, teach you the skills required for the role and most of all, share their extensive knowledge and experience

GCSE in:

Main location as stated, however location may vary depending on placement. Due to the health and safety requirements of this role we are unable to employ apprentices under 18 on this scheme.

  • Upon successful completion of this scheme, you could roll-off into a Construction Support Manager Role where you will support the planning, delivery, and management of track projects
  • You'll also have opportunities to complete additional training courses. These will vary to support your continuous development
