Summary

Our 3.5 year, cross-industry, L6 Rail & Rail Systems Engineering apprenticeship will see you achieve a BEng (Hons) degree in Railway Engineering without the associated fees.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Earn while you learn by being a part of our ‘Rail for Future’ programme and engaging in a diverse range of engineering placements throughout Network Rail and supply chain partners.

Starting as a Level 3 Rail Engineering Technician, you'll work up to a Level 6 Rail & Rail Systems Engineering apprenticeship standard.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • Any subject (grade 9-4)
  • English Language (grade 9-4)
  • Maths (grade 9-5)
  • Science (grade 9-4)

A Level in:

  • Maths/Science (grade A - C)

BTEC in:

  • Engineering (grade DMM)
