Through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training, you will support the delivery of innovative engineering solutions.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Attend all relevant training and complete required course work
  • Gain hands-on engineering experience working alongside and under the supervision
  • Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge in line with the apprenticeship program
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of engineering systems and equipment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation
  • Prepare and present reports using comms on maintenance tasks, project progress and outcomes

Our Level 3 apprenticeships take 3 years to complete, plus 3 months End Point Assessment (EPA). You’ll attend block release off-the-job training in 2-4 week blocks at the training centre in Coventry , spending the rest of your time with your employer Weetabix Ltd.
