The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced planner and will be involved in a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects across multiple sectors. Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Planning the project timeline throughout the pre-construction and construction phase.
- Deliver good quality programmes and logistic plans.
- Visit sites to develop construction knowledge which will provide a good understanding of build processes, sequencing and logistical requirements.

Course contents
- Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
- Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
- Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
- Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
- Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
- Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.

- Online learning and will include guided discussions.
- Independant learning.
- On site learning with qualified Planners.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4 or above)
- Maths (grade C/4 or above)
