Summary

As part of the Cement & Packed division of Tarmac you will play an important role in keeping UK infrastructure moving, contributing towards the successful production cementitious products. An exciting role where you can see the outputs of your hard work all around you (quite literally!)

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Work on heavy machinery, ensuring manufacturing plants are safe, functional, and efficient
  • Complete daily maintenance to a high standard
    Conduct mechanical and health and safety tests to ensure systems are reliable
  • Manage site breakdowns by identifying and repairing faults
  • Suggest innovative ideas to enhance production efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, prioritising safety in all tasks
  • Tackle tasks both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in dusty or confined spaces – full protective equipment and safety support will always be provided
