We have a unique opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanical Fire Suppression Engineer ! We will teach you how to install, service, test, and repair fire suppression systems and equipment.

Wage
£14,920 a year

Your normal working hours are 37.5 hour per week Monday to Friday. Inclusive of a lunch break directed by your manager. Hours may vary depending on customer and team requirements'

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Service, test, and install the appropriate pipework and systems; disassemble and reconstruct equipment.
  • Perform servicing/testing and repairs on systems and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Install systems and equipment based on relevant fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Accurately complete engineering work reports, handover certificates, and pressure test certificates or checklists as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by your line manager.

Enrol in a level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician level 3 delivered by Train'd Up alongside fellow Johnson Controls apprentices. 

Engage in day release training and receive on-the-job guidance from experienced mentors and  engineers

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade Level 5)
  • Maths (grade Level 5)

Other in:

  • FULL UK Driving Licence (grade FULL)

This thrilling opportunity is field-based, meaning that you will work alongside our highly skilled engineers, traveling between our clients’ sites each day. Our work may also require heavy lifting and working from heights.
