Summary

During this apprenticeship you will work within the Facilities and Sustainability team working alongside the Facilities Manager in delivering key projects within the business. The apprentice will be multiskilled in mechanical and electrical skills, specialising in facilities and sustainability.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Work within the Facilities & Sustainability Teams supporting all areas of the business
  • Adhere to safe working practices for factory, plant and machinery
  • Support the Facilities team in planned / preventative maintenance and support other engineering departments when required
  • Support the Sustainability Manager in understanding the sustainability impact of our processes
  • Implementing effective sustainable solutions
  • Working with the Sustainovate team to improve sustainability awareness amongst the wider workforce

The apprenticeship will be delivered by Hartlepool College of Further Education onsite 1 year full time, years 2-4 will be day release one day per week at Hartlepool College with the remaining days on site at Husqvarna Newton Aycliffe.
