Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Join Veolia Water Technologies UK, a global company that's all about eco-friendly water tech. We're looking for passionate young minds to join our team as Apprentice Service Engineers!

We’re looking to take on 3 Field Service Engineering Apprentices who will be based in either:

  • South West England
  • Central South England
  • South East England

As a service engineer at Veolia Water Technologies, you'd be like a doctor for water treatment systems. Your job would be to keep these systems running smoothly and fix them when they break down.
Here's what you might do:

  • Troubleshooting: You'd solve problems by figuring out why a water treatment system isn't working properly. It's like being a detective, but for machines!
  • Repairs and Maintenance: You'd fix broken parts, replace old components, and perform regular check-ups to prevent issues before they happen.
  • Installation: Sometimes, you'd help set up new water treatment equipment at different sites, like factories or water plants.
  • Technical Support: You might guide customers over the phone or in person on how to use their water treatment systems correctly.
  • Upgrades: As technology improves, you'd help update older systems with newer, more efficient parts.
  • Safety Checks: You'd make sure all the equipment is safe to use and follows environmental regulations.
  • Reporting: You'd keep records of what you've done and any issues you've found, which helps the company improve its products and services.

This job involves a mix of practical hands-on work, problem-solving, and using technology. You'd be out and about visiting different sites, not stuck in an office all day. If you enjoy fixing things, working with tools, and don't mind getting your hands dirty sometimes, this could be a great career path for you!
