Boardley & Roberts Ltd specialised in repairs/renewals of all types of electrical rotating machinery. They are currently looking for an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering apprentice to join and learn within their team.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Main Duties:

  • Dismantling/ repairing of AC & DC rotating machinery. Electric motors, pumps, fan units.
  • Attending site as part of a team to carry out removals & refits.
  • Repairs/ renewals of all electrical rotating machinery. Electric motors, pumps, fan assy’s, AHU’s, site maintenance, site repairs/ removals/ refits.
  • Day to day contact- Gavin Whitehouse (workshop co-ordinator)

Would be one of 8 engineers within the company.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • Maths and English (grade 5)
