Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Learning theoretical and practical skills in fabrication and welding
  • Develop knowledge and use of equipment and machinery
  • Work as part of a team to support with the production of parts
  • Work to deadlines and have targets to complete
  • Monitoring the quality of production and contributing to the improvement of the output of the team

Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • This apprenticeship will begin with employment at LWC on site (LS11 5SS), and then in September you will train 1 day per week at Leeds City College, Print Works Campus
  • This apprenticeship with be approximately 21 months long

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)
