Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Learning theoretical and practical skills in fabrication and welding
- Develop knowledge and use of equipment and machinery
- Work as part of a team to support with the production of parts
- Work to deadlines and have targets to complete
- Monitoring the quality of production and contributing to the improvement of the output of the team

Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
- This apprenticeship will begin with employment at LWC on site (LS11 5SS), and then in September you will train 1 day per week at Leeds City College, Print Works Campus
- This apprenticeship with be approximately 21 months long

GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
