Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Daily task will vary but could include: 

  • Pruning
  • Harvesting 
  • Multiple aspects of viticulture work 
  • Mowing 
  • Tractor operations 
  • Supervising teams

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

After this apprenticeship

After completion of the apprenticeship, there would be the opportunity for a title change to assistant vineyard manager and the opportunity to go on to become a vineyard manager.
