Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

During your 3-4 years as a Zeiss Apprentice, you will gain comprehensive experience in various different departments such as:

  • The Production Department
  • The Product Design Team
  • The Process Engineering Team
  • The Applications Team
  • The Quality Team

You will use the experience gained alongside studying at West Suffolk College to cement your manufacturing knowledge to a high level. We will support and guide you along your journey and allowing you the exposure with tasks which is required to complete your Apprenticeship. This is fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for engineering and manufacturing

Other requirements

The role will be varied and will cover a lot of different working environments. All applicants will be subject to Aviation Security training as well as a basic DBS check. We also offer Private Medical, Medical Cash plan, 25 days holiday (plus BH’s), Christmas Shut down.
