Summary

This is a full-time on-site apprentice role located in the Stoke-on-Trent area. As an Apprentice at DFI Ltd, you will be responsible for learning and assisting with daily tasks related to door installations, repairs, and servicing under the mentorship of experienced professionals.

£13,312 to £23,795.20 a year

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Assist with the installation, repair and maintenance of industrial doors
  • Work safely and responsibly in workshops and on-site environments
  • Understand and apply basic engineering concepts, materials, and practices
  • Develop skills in interpreting diagrams, using tools precisely, and resolving technical issues
  • Learn and practice welding techniques as part of the role and qualification
  • Conduct routine safety checks to ensure compliance with standards
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

  • Maths (grade C/4 or above)

Other requirements
