Summary

In this role, you will be driving the business forward with your marketing and social media skills, from creating customer reviews, social media posts, assisting in events to having hands on work with the companies website, analysing results or making changes to the features. This role is perfect if you have skills which you are looking to develop.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Social Media Management 

  • Assist in creating and scheduling content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn). To grow into being fully responsible for this
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
  • Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform social media strategies

Marketing Support

  • Help design and implement marketing campaigns, both online and offline
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials and content for newsletters, blogs, and email marketing
  • Analyse marketing data and report on campaign performance metrics

Website Upkeep

  • Assist in updating website content, ensuring it is current, relevant, and optimised for user experience
  • Collaborate with the team on website design and functionality improvements
  • Perform regular audits to identify areas for enhancement and troubleshoot issues

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Support the optimization of website content to improve search engine rankings and visibility
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for content development
  • Assist in monitoring SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console

Qualifications/ Personal traits

  • Passion for digital marketing and social media
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and their functionalities
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus but not necessary
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices is desirable but not necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and take on a new challenge to develop the role within a growing business

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.

Your training plan

Multi Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

The successful candidate will undertake a fifteen-month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions.

You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification.

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of the programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 3 qualification.

GCSE in:
