Summary

The team is responsible for the build and maintenance of technology demonstrator vehicles, modification to existing production vehicles and prototype vehicle builds for both Tata Motors projects and 3rd party partners. This role will develop a broad skill base in the maintenance, modification, instrumentation and development testing of vehicles.

Wage
£16,000 a year

Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)

Pay will be annually reviewed and progression will be dependent upon satisfactory progress and achievement of key annual milestones of the apprenticeship.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

The main areas of training are as follows:

  • General model making support
  • Project management support 
  • ADM manufacturing and post processing
  • 5 Axis CNC - programming and running of machines
  • Hard model making support - Assembly of hand made models
  • CAD Engineering for bespoke models 
  • Paint shop support 

Role based at NAIC, Warwick University.

May also be required to support test and development activities at UK or European facilities.

After this apprenticeship

  • TMDTC offer a permanent contract that will progress from the apprenticeship (after 48 months) into a full-time role commensurate with the progression made and the skill sets achieved
