Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our friendly and welcoming school for a Teaching Assistant apprentice. You will be involved in the day to day running of the classroom, supporting the teacher and children with their learning and development.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work

- This role will be working in the classroom with children of primary age, assisting the teacher with resources and working with small groups of children to help them learn
- You may also be helping a child with Special Educational Needs in class
- No two days are the same, and these roles will help you build the skills and experience you need for a successful career working in Primary Education

Other Essential Requirements:
- Use initiative in all matters relating to the conduct and behaviour of individuals, groups of pupils and whole classes; the correct use and care of materials by individual and small groups of pupils, the safety, mobility (if required) and hygiene and well being of the pupils
- Responsibility to support and adhere to the school safeguarding policies and procedures, at all times

Your training plan
- Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- All training will be delivered via blended learning within the workplace, online and through master classes
- An assessor will visit the apprentice every 4-6 weeks and set work via our CRM system, Aptem

Desirable qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade A*-C/9-4)
- Maths (grade A*-C/9-4)
