Summary

We are offering the chance for a candidate to join us as a Roofing Apprenticeship. Getting hands-on experience in waterproofing roofing as main discipline while learning other aspects of roofing alongside. Learn from experts, gain practical skills, and kickstart a rewarding and lucrative career in roofing. Aged 17 or above please due to insurance.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

  • Learning and following Health and safety regulations in roofing
  • Safe use of Roofing materials and tools
  • Undertsanding of Roof structures and installation methods
  • Roof maintenance and repair techniques
  • Working at heights and scaffolding safety

  • Roofer Level 2 (GCSE) Apprenticeship Standard
  • Training will take place every 5th week at the following location: Monday to Thursday (Friday AM if Functional Skills in maths and English are needed) 
    Juniper Training Roofing  Building Futures  Westgate, Aldridge, WS9 8EX
  • Transport and accommodation costs will be covered by the employer
  • Training schedule has yet to be agreed upon, further details will be made available at a later date

GCSE in:

Other requirements

This job involves working outside all year round and manual labour. It involves being able to lift Felt rolls which weigh around 20kg. It may require working away Monday to Friday but this is rare. Once qualified the pay for a roofing is great.

After this apprenticeship

  • Fully qualified and highly skilled Roofer
  • Possibly lead into a managerial role such as site manager or project manager. Other qualifications such as SSSTS and SMSTS can be completed
  • On completion of this standard, apprentices will be eligible for employment in the roofing industry as a craft operativeApprentices
  • May progress to supervision and management appointments in roofing organisations
