Summary

Whilst this role focuses on the efficient handling of goods inwards and maintaining accurate stock control, as an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training and support to develop your skills and knowledge in all warehouse operations. We are a growing business, and our dynamic Warehouse team is looking for an Apprentice to join us.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

As an Apprentice Warehouse Operative, you'll play a crucial role in our fast-paced operations, ensuring product compliance and accurate order processing. You'll be the heart of our warehouse operations, making sure our customers receive their orders with precision and care.

  • Execute dispatch and delivery processes with a people-focused attitude
  • Adhere to our policies and procedures, always maximizing safety and quality
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workplace
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality
  • Unload deliveries and ensure items are stored in the correct locations
  • Record and report any discrepancies, missing items or damages to the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system
  • Assist in the preparation and dispatch of orders – Pick, Pack and dispatch
  • Perform stock checks and cycle counting as needed
  • Maintain equipment levels, such as packing materials
  • Communicate order statuses to the wider Vyne team when required
  • Complete administrative duties as needed

  • Decant, pack products in line with organisational procedures.
  • Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
  • Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

IMPORTANT: in order to meet the eligibility criteria for an Apprenticeship in England, you must be able to demonstrate at least three years UK residency, or hold a valid visa that meets the exceptions to this rule.

Other requirements

This will be a demanding role with some work outdoors and lifting of products and boxes etc required - we are a fast paced business so expect to be very busy in the day to day Assigned date to complete studies and laptop will be provided to assist with studies
