Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • We provide high-quality heat pump dryers like the LRD350 and the AF180, among others. Lavamac not only sells and rents out their products, but also offer maintenance and repair services
  • The selected candidate will be expected to travel extensively throughout the UK, providing support to our clients in the healthcare and education sectors
  • After an initial six-month training period, the apprentice will progress to undertake gas safe training, further enhancing their skill set. 
  • The successful applicant will embark on a structured training program led by seasoned professionals, designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge
  • The initial six months are dedicated to foundational training, after which the candidate will receive specialized gas safe training
  • The programme might also include a Level 3 BTEC if deemed beneficial to the candidate

Course contents

Your training plan

  • In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician and study towards becoming a laundry service engineer
  • This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West
  • If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a level 2 functional skill in the relevant subject
