Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Acorn Motor Group has team skill development and excellent customer service embedded in everything they do.

This vacancy would involve learning all about how to deal with and support customers through their journey of buying and then owning and maintaining a car with the dealership. It is an opportunity to develop the skills with a company who sets very high standards for how their customers are looked after.

Duties would include;

  • Supporting on the front desk dealing with customer calls and those walking in with meet and greet.
  • Ensuring all customer enquiries are directed to the correct department.
  • Pre calls to customers to confirm their bookings.
  • Follow up calls to customers to check they are satisfied with the Acorn experience and to record and redirect any queries they may have.
  • Working hard to ensure all dealings with customers are handled professionally, politely and empathetically.
  • Booking customer appointments accurately and with care taken over customer sensitive data.
  • Interacting and communicating with other teams within the business.
  • Get involved in brand awareness events.
  • Receptive to ideas for improvement.
  • Contributing ideas for efficiency of Acorn Motor Group.
  • Admin duties as are appropriate for the role.

  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.

    The candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Standard qualification as a Customer Service Practitioner. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West.

    If you do not already hold GCSEs at grade A-D / 8-3 in English and Maths you will complete Functional Skills in the related subjects to attain Level 1 Functional Skills.

    Acorn Motor Group will provide in-house training to support the chosen candidate to broaden their knowledge of the organisation and its specific needs.
