Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Admin / Customer Service Apprentice to support our Commercial Team. This role is essential in delivering an excellent customer service experience to applicants, learners, employers, and external partners while providing administrative support to help the team meet recruitment and business targets.

Wage

£14,526.20 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Provide professional and friendly communication via incoming and outgoing calls
  • Offer Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to applicants, learners, and employers
  • Liaise with employers to support onboarding and ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Attend and support career fairs, open days, and recruitment events as required
    Administrative support
  • Operate key systems and software relevant to commercial and learner services (e.g., CRM, booking tools)
  • Update internal systems with candidate and learner information in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support commercial recruitment goals
  • Support with the development and promotion of new recruitment strategies and engagement materials
  • To work at all times in accordance with the GDPR Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 
  • To undertake Continuous Professional Development as directed by your Line Manager 
  • To undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job
  • Be safety-conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative

  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.
