£12,955.80 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

You will be paid £7.55 per hour in the first year of your apprenticeship, rising to £10.00 per hour (dependant on age) thereafter. A well-stocked snack box to keep you fuelled throughout the busy day

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
- Implement individual targets to help children progress in their learning
- Support children to reach their full potential, both academically and socially
- Build positive relationships with children to enhance their confidence and engagement
- Assist in our Forest School, encouraging outdoor learning, teamwork, and exploration
- Provide classroom support, working alongside teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Help with small-group and one-to-one interventions to support children’s needs
- Develop their own skills through hands-on experience and professional training
- Contribute to the wider school community, supporting events and activities

- Comply with legislation, guidance, and procedures for Prevent, safeguarding and health & safety.
- Support the well-being and mental health of learners.
- Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Your training plan
- Teaching Assistant Level 3
- You will be supported in the workplace and attend online workshops during the working day with the training provider
- You will have observations of your practice within the workplace and complete written work as part of the training
- The school will also provide in-house training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 9-4)
- Mathematics (grade 9-4)

Other requirements
Part of the role will involve supporting the Forest School activities, so some outdoor working is required. Interviews will take place the morning of Monday 19th May at the school.
