Work

What you’ll do at work
Jerounds Primary Academy are looking for an apprentice Learning Support Assistant to join our successful team in September 2025. Applicants must be enthusiastic and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Learning Support Assistants (LSA) would work alongside, and individually from class teachers.
You will work alongside class teachers in a variety of roles, including supporting an individual child, small groups of children, or the entire class. You will assist children with a wide range of abilities, needs, and learning styles.
The successful candidate will be able to provide academic, emotional, and social support to enable the children to achieve their best.
Duties include:
- Work positively with all individuals or small groups of children, as a team, under the direction of teaching staff
- Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as directed by the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate
- As a team, and as an individual, support work with whole classes, individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff
- To provide high-quality learning and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children according to individual needs, as directed by the class teacher or school leadership

All learning will be delivered online alongside full-time placement at the school.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
