Summary

Arnold Wragg Ltd based in Sheffield have a fantastic opportunity for the correct candidate. Reporting to the Manager, day to day duties will include; operating CNC machinery, maintaining work area and checking quality of products.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Load and prove machine tool programmes on CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools in accordance with approved procedures
  • Prepare, set up and operate CNC turning, milling and grinding machines
  • Quality assurance is the product's machined
  • Adhering to the health and safety procedure

About this company

The engineering company is fortunate to have kept skilled / knowledgeable members of staff with over 35 years of experience on machinery, drawings, treatments and manufacturing standards. Arnold Wragg has been trading in industrial fasteners for the last 50 years, originally from a work shop in Stannington in the 1950s before moving to our current modern unit in Sheffield 9 years ago.

After this apprenticeship

Potential progression onto Level 3 Apprenticeship with the possibility of full-time employment, subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship.
