We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Degree Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both software and hardware product development while studying towards a relevant degree.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced engineers and second year apprentice on a variety of projects, contributing to the design and development of innovative electronic solutions.

Duties:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications and hardware components.
- Collaborate with both clients and the whole Ammtek team and to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
- Participate in simulation, modelling, and feasibility studies to support product development.
- Support prototyping and production activities, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
- Engage in continuous learning and development, both academically and professionally, to stay ahead of industry advancements.

Course contents
- Foundation Stage: Complying with statutory regulations and stringent organisational safety requirements
- Foundation Stage: Producing components using hand fitting, fabrication and joining techniques
- Foundation Stage: Producing Computer Aided Design (CAD) models (drawings) using a CAD system
- Foundation Stage: Preparing and using lathes, milling and other general or specialist machines and high tech equipment
- Foundation Stage: Preparing and proving Computer Numeric Control programmes
- Foundation Stage: Using computer software packages to assist with and evaluate engineering activities
- Foundation Stage: Producing and managing engineering project plans
- Foundation Stage: Producing assemblies using a wide range of materials and techniques
- Development Team: Project management and scheduling engineering activities
- Development Team: Securing appropriate resources and managing budgets and resources
- Development Team: Implementing, monitoring and evaluating engineering processes
Your training plan
This will be day release apprenticeship to the course with the college Additional learning will be a monthly coaching session, along with additional courses ran through Future Force throughout the degree.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English and Maths (grade 4 or above)
- Science or Engineering subject (grade 4 or above)
