Summary
As a Warehouse Apprentice, you will work in our state-of-the-art Distribution Centre with modern facilities. You will become part of an inclusive team and learn all about the fashion and retail industry! You'll earn £12.21/hour as you achieve your NVQ level 2 qualification, with the opportunity to progress to NVQ level 3 Team Leader.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
- Safety – To ensure safe working practices are adhered to and individually contribute to the site Health, Safety and Environmental Targets
- Quality – To ensure that all goods handled meet the correct quality for our business and our customers, and all items are accurately counted, checked and processed
- Delivery & Service – To follow the standardised process to meet key performance targets within the departments and deliver on time in full for our internal and external customer
- Inbound – Receiving, Checking and Sorting Inbound Cartons and Pallets either manually or through the automated systems
- Picking – Picking items for orders either through automated goods-to-person stations or manually
- VAS (Value Added Services) and Packing - to rework the products to the customers’ requirements at the automated station or manually
- Returns – To accurately process returns ensuring customers items are correctly accounted
- Despatch – To sort, load and despatch internal and external customers’ orders either through the automated system or manually
- Other duties as may be assigned to the job holder within the job holder’s capabilities

- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Your training plan
- Training will take place at our Bardon Distribution Centre, Monday to Friday each week.
- Your training will combine "on the job" learning experiences as you perform your daily tasks and duties, along with some study time that will help you to gain your qualification
- You will be supported by your friendly teammates, as well as your Team Leader, Mentor and the management team

Other requirements
There will by physical activities to perform at times during your role, all within our clear Health & safety guidelines. There are early and late shift patterns that you will need to work to during your apprenticeship, which cannot be changed. You must be able to travel to the Distribution Centre easily as public transport is limited
