What you’ll do at work

As a Level 4 Project Management Apprentice, you’ll gain experience supporting real projects, learn from experienced professionals, and develop the skills you need for a future in procurement and project delivery — all while earning and learning in a supportive, flexible team.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Level 4 Project Management Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for someone organised, proactive, and eager to start a career in project and procurement support, supporting the public housing sector. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team, gaining experience in a real consultancy setting while completing a recognised qualification.

This is a remote-working role, with occasional travel to team meetings, client workshops, and events (primarily in London).

  • Assist with preparing, formatting, and reviewing project and procurement documentation (e.g., tenders, contracts, reports).
  • Help coordinate and schedule meetings, workshops, and project updates.
  • Take meeting notes or minutes and help track action points.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised project records.
  • Support internal teams and external clients with administrative and project tasks.
  • Learn how to manage compliance requirements and follow structured documentation processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and tools.
  • Attend client meetings, events, or site visits when appropriate.

  • Use project monitoring and reporting techniques to track, interpret and report on performance.
  • Manage and engage with stakeholders.

  • Resolve conflict as and when required with stakeholders within limits of responsibility.
  • Adapt communications to different stakeholders.
  • Communicate and support the project vision, to ensure buy in to the project objectives.

  • Review and provide feedback on a project business case to ensure the project remains valid.

  • Apply relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and ethical guidance where appropriate to their work.

With this project management level 4 qualification, you’ll show you have the skills and knowledge to follow a range of career paths, whether as a project manager, improvement specialist, or change lead. Once you’ve finished the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue an additional specialist professional qualification through our partnership with Firebrand. This includes globally-recognised standards such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner, or APMG AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner.

Training and Support

  • You will be enrolled on the Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship programme.
  • You’ll receive regular support from both your apprenticeship training provider and your Echelon line manager.
  • You’ll be encouraged to participate in learning opportunities and build your professional knowledge as part of your role.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • 5 GCSE's including English and Maths (grade (A*-C/9-4))

Desirable qualifications

Other in:

  • UCAS points (grade 48+ UCAS points or equivalent)

Other requirements

· This is a home-based role with flexible working hours. · Travel is required for quarterly team meetings and occasional client-facing events. · You’ll be fully supported by a friendly and experienced team who will help you develop confidence and capability in your role. Holidays: The annual holiday entitlement for a full-time employee is 25 paid working. days in the holiday year, which runs from 1st January to 31st December. The Company closes throughout the Christmas period, and therefore 3 days of this entitlement is used for this closure. Holiday entitlement will increase by 1 day. Pension/Benefits: Echelon auto-enrols eligible people into a pension scheme in according with pension auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme are provided during enrollment. Echelon operates on a flexible working policy, remote working, provides company phones, expenses and other benefits such as dental coverage. per year up to a maximum of 29 days.
