About this company

Through our time of working with service users with a learning difficultly, we are passionate about what we wish to achieve through Adka Independence. The ethos behind our vision is based on what we have witnessed through our work with this group of adults. People are now gaining access to direct payments and individualised budgets which allows them to be in control of their lives, with support from people who they wish to support them. Any excess revenue will be reinvested in developing new services to reinforce our vision. It is our priority to continually improve individual’s lifestyles and empower adults to choose to live independently in a environment of their own. The benefits of this include improved privacy, varied choice of personal food intake and own personal choice of support staff. These decisions can be based on one person, or more than one person living together. These aims can be difficult to achieve in a traditional residential home setting.
