Summary
We are seeking a motivated Credit Control Apprentice to support our team in managing outstanding invoices and client payments. No prior experience is required just a willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, and an interest in working with finance software.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Main duties include:
- Communicating with clients regularly to follow up on outstanding invoices and payment commitments
- Using QuickBooks Online and Chaser, our cloud based credit control platform, to automate invoice reminders and statements
- Managing payment collections via GoCardless, setting up standing orders, and ensuring timely fee payments
- Building strong relationships with clients and handling payment queries professionally
- Learning key credit control processes and developing essential finance skills

Course contents
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Your training plan
Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week either at Uxbridge, Harrow or Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be required to complete:
- Work towards gaining a full Qualification
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
- Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours
- Standard and End Point Assessment
- Functional Skills in English, maths, and ICT (if required)
Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4-9)
- Maths (grade 4-9)

What we are looking for: Strong communication skills comfortable speaking with clients over the phone and email, good attention to detail and ability to follow up on payment timelines, eagerness to learn and develop a career in finance and credit control and basic IT skills and willingness to work with cloud-based accounting software.
