Summary
Warehouse Operative Apprentice to be trained in warehouse operations and activities. Training will include picking and packing orders, booking goods in and supplying bill of materials to production department. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. All training given, no experience required.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
- Pick, process and prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Pick parts for in house production
- Receive incoming deliveries, recording what comes in, checking against the PO reporting any discrepancies to a manager
- Physically fit due mid to heavy lifting responsibilities.
- Putting stock away neatly in the correct place
- Manage and organise stock
- Perform inventory stock takes
- Report any discrepancies
- Keep a clean and safe working environment, report any issues
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Follow high standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Taking care and pride in your work and helping/wanting the company to succeed
- Have an awareness of pick/pack issues and able to communicate these to a manager

- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
