Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

Competition Horses, Livery and Riding School-ABRS Breeds Warmbloods-So could also offer breeding pathway

International 1.40m Travelling groom- Would love a rider

Attend shows local and international

Duties will include:

  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Attend shows nationally and internationally
  • Riding

Training will be provided by Haddon Training on site and the successful candidate will work towards a Level 3 Equine Groom qualification and math's and english functional skills if required.

About this company

Stephanie Holker is the chief instructor at Red Earth Equestrian Centre. She gained all her teaching and horse care qualifications at the Yorkshire riding centre in Harrogate under Christopher bartle and Jane bartle-Wilson. Stephanie has been successfully teaching since the riding school opened in 2006. Stephanie and her father Clive began the business with a small client base but this soon grew and she now has over 100 clients on the school horses and also with people bringing their own horses up to the centre.
