Summary

J & J Ormerod are looking for 2 apprentices to join them at their site in Bacup. JJO plc are Kitchen Manufacturers, Bedroom Manufacturers and Bathroom Manufacturers in the UK. Suppliers to independent Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom retailers.

Wage

£15,704 to £25,396.80, depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

You will learn and obtain experience in the fundamentals of either mechanical and electrical engineering or a combination of the two primarily through training and through onsite placements. 

Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will be taught and put into practice engineering skills which will be key for a junior engineering role at J&J Ormerod.

You will rotate around the wide range of engineering teams across our business.

Other requirements

Subject to aspiration, performance and business requirement, you will progress onto HNC/D. Once you are in the business full time you will undertake a series of objective training placements in different departments within our large and varied manufacturing departments. These may include - Assembly and Manufacturing engineering, front line problem solving and improvement projects in the manufacturing area. Regular time for self reflection and review and one to ones with your manager.
