An opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to work as an Equine Groom in Middle Part Farm, training and assisting in all aspects of equine care.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • General yard duties
  • Mucking out
  • Preparing hay nets
  • Care of horses
  • Grooming
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Care of horses after exercise
  • Dealing with show horses at events
  • Attending events and competitions

Other requirements

Working outside in all weathers is an expectation of the job The animals require to be looked after all year round. Due to our location, it will be beneficial to have your own transport as we are not on the public transport route.

About this company

Middlepart farm is a small family run yard with 4 horses at present with the possibility of project horses in the summer. The main focus being on eventing and show jumping.
