Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • General yard duties i.e. Mucking out, turning out/in
  • Assisting with a variety of competitions i.e. British Eventing and British Show Jumping
  • Assisting with a variety of clinics with a range of visiting instructors
  • Assisting with vet, farrier, dentists and physio
  • Preparing horses for competitions
  • Travelling to competitions
  • Care of horses after exercise
  • Customer Care
  • Working with the public

Fin Marsden Eventing - usual yard duty’s for event horses, may have some travelling to competitions, You will be working outside in all weather conditions, and this is a physically demanding role.
