Summary

SACO are looking to employ a Mechatronics Apprentice to work in their team. With over 34 years of experience in design and manufacturing, we currently employ over 450 people across three separate factories. The apprentice will be trained in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and work towards achieving an Advanced qualification.

Wage

£15,311.40 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Assist with and perform installation and maintenance tasks in order to ensure the effective operation of various electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Repairing or maintaining, all electrical and mechanical equipment within or around the SACO buildings
  • Completing pre-scheduled preventative maintenance
  • As an apprentice mechatronic technician, you will be trained in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems

  • First Year: Block-release in the college setting 
  • Second Year: One day-release at college and the rest of the time is in the workplace

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade 4/C or equivalent)
  • Maths (grade 4/C or equivalent)
