Summary
You will be involved in 2 virtual online classroom workshops, and a one-to-one dedicated trainer session per month, with an industry expert. Another exciting aspect of the course is that you will complete off the job training which will help you gain the theoretical knowledge and skills needed to complement your practical on-the-job experience.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide product support for changes requested to existing products and assist with the maintenance of Product Health metrics
- Creating and/or supporting product announcements & presentations
- Assist with maintenance of products residing in Cummins Sales tools and assist in creation of Marketing Specification Sheets
- Assist in Sales & Operations Planning and or Channel Readiness activities at Cummins for Marketing
- Assist in extracting and interpreting sales and marketing data via Cummins sales tools
- Lead or take part in a Community Involvement Team and participate on activities aiming to give back to the community
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in Marketing/Business/Engineering or a related discipline
- GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSEs including maths and English and a science grade 4+ (A-C)
- Ability to analyze and understand data to solve problems and work individually
- Good communication skills and flexibility with self-motivation
- Eager to learn and understand the importance of ambiguity.
- A Level or equivalent Maths - Physics - Engineering (Grade 88 UCAS), BTEC or equivalent Level 3 Engineering BTEC (Grade 90 Credits) or another Level 3 Engineering Standard Apprenticeship (Grade Completion) would be desirable, however not essential for this role

Course contents
- Coordinate and maintain key marketing channels (both digital and offline)
- Plan and deliver tactical campaigns against SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound) objectives
- Manage the production and distribution of marketing materials, e.g. digital, print and video content as appropriate
- Produce a wide range of creative and effective communications, including ability to write and proofread clear and innovative copy, project briefs, and give confident presentations
- Able to engage and collaborate with a wide range of clients/stakeholders, across departments internally and with clients/suppliers externally to support marketing outcomes as required
- Use good project and time management to deliver projects/tasks/events as appropriate, effectively. Including the ability to divide time effectively between reporting, planning and delivery
- Coordinate several marketing campaigns/projects/events to agreed deadlines
- Effectively liaise with, and manage, internal and external stakeholders including suppliers to deliver required outcomes
- Monitor project budgets within their scope of work using appropriate systems and controls
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by choosing the appropriate digital and offline data sources
- Assimilate and analyse data and information from a range of sources to support marketing activities
- Evaluate data and research findings to derive insights to support improvements to future campaigns
- Effectively use appropriate business systems and software to deliver marketing outcomes efficiently, for example to analyse data, produce reports and deliver copy
- Use appropriate technologies to deliver marketing outcomes e.g. digital/web analytics, social media, CRM
Your training plan
During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week at Cummins, with at least 4 days being on-site. During this time, you will study for 20months at Oxford Professional Education Group. On completion of your work and studies, you will obtain a Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship. There could also be an opportunity to gain the CIM Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- 2 other GSCE's (grade C/4 or above)
- Math, English and Science (grade C/4 or above)
Desirable qualifications
A Level in:
- Engineering (grade C)

BTEC in:
- Engineering (grade Pass)
