Summary
As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will gain experience of monitoring and detecting potential security threats and escalating as necessary. You will also support secure and uninterrupted operations through the implementation of cyber security mechanisms and the application of cyber security procedures and controls.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
You will:
- contribute to the delivery of a security culture across our campuses, understanding vulnerabilities and threats and support the development of the university’s cyber security maturity
- gain experience in applying procedures and controls to maintain security and control of our systems
- process security requests, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information stored digitally

- Fluent in written communications and able to articulate complex issues.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- 5 GCSE's including English and maths (grade 4 - 9)
A Level in:
- 3 A levels or equivalent (2As and 1 B preferred) (grade A - C)
