Summary
Primary duties involve assisting with the completion of planned and reactive maintenance to client’s gate automation systems, providing a first-class service to all across Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. As you progress, you will be expected to work alone and, on occasion, with one or more other engineers.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Carry out planned maintenance to automated gates, barriers, bollards and garage doors.
- Carry out repairs and upgrades to the above systems
- Fault-finding and reactive maintenance of the above systems
- Installation and fault-finding on Intercom Systems
- Any duties that the company deems the Gate Service Engineer as competent to carry out
- Receive and attend training both in-house and at manufacturer facilities
- Complete all appropriate paperwork, hard and soft copy
- Observe all Health and Safety guidelines to ensure the safety of oneself and others
- Manage own time on jobs to ensure maximum efficiency
- Communicate progression with Head Office
- Share best practice and knowledge with other team members
