Summary

A well appointed 20 horse livery yard located near Lechlade with excellent facilities and fabulous hacking . They are now looking for an Apprentice Groom to join their team, this is a great opportunity to expand and develop your equestrian knowledge .

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

All general yard duties to include :

  • Mucking Out, sweeping yard
  • Turning horses in and out , picking out feet and changing rugs
  • Grooming and tacking up and untacking
  • Filling haynets and cleaning and filling water buckets
  • Feeding
  • Possibility to groom at shows
  • Possibility of riding and competing for right candidate

There is no accommodation available with this position, there is the possibility of a lift if you live locally , but ideally you will make sure you can get yourself to and from the location daily before you apply. There is the possibility of livery for own horse .
