Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
We are seeking highly motivated, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Childcare Workers in therapeutic children's homes. You will offer support, guidance, and care to children and young people who have faced trauma and may have additional needs.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day support, guidance, and care to children and young people who have experienced trauma and may have additional needs. Each home has a small, supportive ream comprising of a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Residential childcare Workers and Residential Childcare Workers. Your role will include;
- Supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of children and young people in the home.
- Creating a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
- Providing practical and emotional support to children and young people, including daily routines and medical appointments.
- Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to provide a holistic support system for our young people.
- Maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation.

About this company
We provide safe, secure homes to young people in a variety of settings for young people aged 5 – 18. Our young people may have complex needs including attachment issues, abuse, neglect, and/or psychological trauma, special education/additional needs and any additional needs including ASD, ADHD, or who have suffered a significant family crisis.
