Summary
The successful candidate will be working alongside our team of qualified and student veterinary nurses to provide a high standard of care for our clients and hospital patients. Our VCAs see an exciting and varied caseload and have the opportunity to continually develop their skills supporting the team in surgical, medical and emergency nursing.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- As an IVC Evidensia apprenticeship veterinary care assistant, you will be allocated a supervisor within the practice who will be responsible for supporting you in your training.
- You will be trained by the practice and by a VCA training provider, ensuring you learn the most current theory and practical skills.
- You will carry out daily tasks commensurate with the level of training and competency and the training syllabus.

Your training plan
- Upon finishing, you will become a qualified Veterinary Care Assistant.
- The location of the apprenticeship will be at The Vet Centre Ltd, which is located at Maids Moreton, Buckingham MK18 1RE & Pottersbury, Towcester NN127QN. You will mainly be based at Maids Moreton to begin with.
- One day a week will be dedicated to apprenticeship training at college or on line, and the remaining will be in practice carrying out veterinary care assistant related tasks.

GCSE in:

- Science (grade A*-C or 9-4)
