Summary

The toolmaker apprentice is predominantly involved in the highly skilled, complex and specialist detailed work of manufacturing and maintaining the engineering tooling used to produce components, products and assemblies.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • The use of specialised manufacturing machinery, to manufacture, refurbish and develop precision tooling for both single and multi-stage operation machines
  • Manufacturing, development, and refurbishment of precision tooling
