Our client is looking for someone with a passion for manufacturing to join their team and complete an apprenticeship qualification in Lean Manufacturing.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

The primary role for the apprentice will be as a Tape Edger. As well as ensuring mattresses are produced to the correct specification, you will also: 

  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Operate machinery and production line equipment
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure finished goods are in line with quality policy
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Report any defects or issues to management
  • Meet production targets and deadlines
  • Always maintain a clean and tidy workspace
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including ISO and make recommendations for continuous improvements
  • Any other reasonable tasks as required by the management team

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

GCSE in:
