Summary
In this newly created role, our Communications Apprentice will support the Communications team in executing internal and external communication plans. This role is specifically aimed at an A-Level or T-Level student who is looking for the first step on the career ladder.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Content Creation: Create and execute content for internal and external communication channels, including LinkedIn, STADA UK websites, One STADA App and the company intranet. This involves written news, slides and visuals, video editing and animation, in Canva
- Social Media Management: Assist in managing the company’s social media accounts – LinkedIn and Instagram – by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and replying to comments and messages
- Internal Communications: Help maintain the drumbeat of news from across the UK organisation when it comes to culture, product and brand news, and STADA engagement initiatives
- Event administration and execution: helping to successfully run internal comms events and events that support the successful roll-out of our EVP. For example, working with the Communications Director and Culture and People Team to make our Town and Village Halls successful and engaging. This could involve everything from sending invites to producing slides and video pieces
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications align with STADA brand guidelines and messaging
- Measurement and evaluation: creating surveys to measure the performance of communication activity, interpreting and implementing the feedback so we can be even better at communications

Course contents
- Use IT systems and software to support campaigns.
- Build stakeholder relationships including developing contacts within the media and presenting to them in both formal and informal settings.
- Support campaigns by undertaking tasks such as desk research, event co-ordination, and database management to ensure compliance with agreed service or performance levels.
- Produce written content such as news releases, articles, social media content, bulletins, and blogs, that is accessible to meet the needs of different audiences and channels.
- Able to adapt communication styles as appropriate to the audience.
- Support the production of non-written content such as film production management, producing short user generated style content, live video streaming, social image creation, and infographic production.
- Distribute content using social media channels.
- Use qualitative and quantitative research to analyse and evaluate public relations and communications activities and present findings to project stakeholders.
- Analyse and interpret complex subjects through different communication channels and identify areas for improvement.
- Input to and review communications programmes and plans with a focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles.
- Undertake risk assessment and provide information to support stakeholder planning and strategy.
- Plan and deliver engagement activities for stakeholders, such as curating the content, supporting events, and collating feedback.
- Proofread and edit communications materials such as news releases, graphics and video, and social media content.
- Support team and colleague development through buddying or coaching.
- Contribute to activities which focus on improving sustainability within the organisation.
- Apply relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and ethical guidance where appropriate to their work.

Your training plan
- You will undertake the 15-month PR & Communications Assistant Apprenticeship (Level 4) Apprenticeship to achieve your qualification through a mixture of on-site and online academic learning
Requirements
Essential qualifications
A Level in:
- English Language and/or Literature (grade C or above)
