Welding Apprentice

Summary

The Apprentice will undertake the relevant training to develop the necessary skills in welding / assembly of equipment to provide critical systems and instrumentation into various industries including nuclear, defence and medical.

Wage: £14,526.20 a year

Hours: Core hours of 10.00am - 12.00pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Thursday 10.00am - 12.00pm Friday

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

During the scheme, you will complete placements within engineering and operations, designed to be flexible to support your career objectives and development and meet business need
Hands on practical learning involved in technical / delivery meetings
Work towards business apprenticeship combined projects Logbook entries related to business placement

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

English (grade 4)
Maths (grade 4)
