Summary

The Apprentice will undertake the relevant training to develop the necessary skills in welding / assembly of equipment to provide critical systems and instrumentation into various industries including nuclear, defence and medical.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • During the scheme, you will complete placements within engineering and operations, designed to be flexible to support your career objectives and development and meet business need
  • Hands on practical learning involved in technical / delivery meetings
  • Work towards business apprenticeship combined projects Logbook entries related to business placement

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)
  • Minimum 4 GCSEs (grade 4)
  • Science or engineering subject (grade 4)
