Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

In this role you will...
- Work in all areas of the Interior Surface Centre to develop the core skills to manufacture our world-class interiors.
- Work closely with our highly experienced production staff and support teams.
- Work on exciting new and existing Rolls-Royce products.

Your training plan
As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete EAL Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills) at Chichester College. The apprenticeship will entail time working at the plant in addition to college. One day is spent studying ‘Lean Manufacturing Theory’, one day learning woodwork skills, and the remainder is on site at Goodwood. When at Goodwood, you will shadow colleagues in different parts of the interior surface centre.

Craft Skills
Car design and creation at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is like nothing else in the industry. The apprenticeship features a unique opportunity to get hands on experience of all aspects of car design and creation.
You will spend 2 days per week (in the first term) completing a ‘craft skills’ course which includes woodwork, sewing, mechanics, metal work and CAD. During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications: Health and Safety, Preparing to Learn, Reflective Practice, and Electrical Vehicle Awareness.
