The minimum wage will increase in line with the apprenticeship minimum wage in April 2025. Please be aware, that regardless of age, apprenticeship minimum wage applies for your first year of the apprenticeship.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
A very exciting opportunity has arisen to supervise dogs in a Day School facility in Hull, just off Hessle Road.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be (but not limited to):
- To ensure the smooth running of the Day School facility
- To ensure every customer has a positive experience
- To perform administrative duties as required, including telephone and face to face work
- To promote the services of the business in a positive way and to demonstrate commitment to the success of the business on a day-to-day basis
- To work towards an Apprenticeship in Animal Care

- To be able to follow instructions and work to an extremely high standard
- You must not be afraid of hard work, and be able to be on your feet all day

During the apprenticeship you may also be asked to assist in the grooming department bathing and preparing dogs.

A level 2 Animal Care & Welfare apprenticeship will be awarded on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
All training will take place within the workplace, supported by Haddon Training.
Your dedicated trainer coach will visit you at work every 4 weeks.

Other requirements
This is a physical role and you will be on your feet all day excluding breaks. You will be carrying out cleaning duties and daily care of our dogs so you need to be happy with a role that means you are on the go all day.
