Summary

As part of the production team you would be expected to support the Technical Manager, on a daily basis, with the tasks of ensuring all relevant technical information for production parts is available and correct. You will also support in the manufacture of dies and tools, both internally and externally.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Your job role will involve:

  • CAD Drawing Generation and Modification, using SolidWorks
  • CAD software, training provided
  • Product Process Details, Modification, and Generation, using in house software
  • Inspection, and defect identification
  • Tooling Requirement Identification
  • Machining to become proficient in the application and use of machine tools, not restricted to conventional and CNC turning and milling, grinding and drilling
  • Ensuring all standards and documentation, filed / issued as required
  • Attendance at In-Comm as agreed

  • This means you will spend part of the week at the training provider and part of the week at Kimber Drop Forging.
