About the role…

This position will be responsible for assisting & supporting the rest of the Data department in both day-to-day operations & future projects. You will be the first point of call for the department, and will support in the delivery of high-quality, professional, accurate reports across multiple platforms. You will also work on and prepare internal routine and ad hoc reports from a ticketing system and develop and update visible dashboards across the business.

What you’ll be responsible for…

  • Providing support as required to the other members of the Data and Systems team
  • Present information and reports in a format that is easy for users to interpret, mainly using Salesforce,  and Microsoft Excel
  • Work through a ticketing system, assigning, escalating, and completing tickets where possible
  • Develop existing CRM System
  • Assist in future projects led by the Operations Team
  • Submission and data management for ECO4 grants.

What we’re looking for…

We are predominantly looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in data analysis. Experience using Microsoft Excel (preferably use of functions and graph plotting) essential. Knowledge of basic Salesforce would be beneficial but is not a requirement as full training will be provided.

  • Source and migrate data from already identified different sources.
  • Collect, format and save datasets.
  • Summarise and explain gathered data.
  • Blend data sets from multiple sources and present in format appropriate to the task.
  • Manipulate and link different data sets as required.
  • Use tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Apply basic statistical methods and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Apply cross checking techniques for identifying faults and data results for data project requirements.
  • Audit data results.
  • Demonstrate the different ways of communicating meaning from data in line with audience requirements.
  • Produce clear and consistent technical documentation using standard organisational templates.
  • Store, manage and distribute in compliance with data security standards and legislation.
  • Explain data and results to different audiences in a way that aids understanding.
  • Review own development needs.
  • Keep up to date with developments in technologies, trends and innovation using a range of sources.
  • Clean data i.e. remove duplicates, typos, duplicate entries, out of date data, parse data (e.g. format telephone numbers according to a national standard) and test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity.
  • Operate as part of a multi-functional team.
  • Prioritise within the context of a project.

  • Data Technician level 3 apprenticeship standard
  • You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade C/4 +)
  • Maths (grade C/4 +)
