Our Data Analyst Programme is all about developing the skills required to become a subject matter expert. From day one, you'll take on real responsibility with a supportive culture that helps you get the most out of your time as an Apprentice, whilst building on your stakeholder management skills.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Logistics is more than getting the product from A to B. At DHL Supply Chain we combine management and value-added services with our customised, integrated logistics solutions which drive resilience, and efficiency, improve quality, and create competitive advantage. Our Data Teams assist the operational and Functional Teams in creating meaningful data which allows informed decisions to be made to ensure we are operating with financial and KPI agreed terms

Working within the  wider Digital & Technology Team, you will work with a passionate team  focusing on the below:

Developing, testing and implementing new data processes and structures to support analytics applications
Implementing data wrangling and ETL solutions; identifying and resolving data quality and other related issues
Collecting and analysing user requests and estimating required effort
Providing support for the implementation and usage of analytics applications
Recommending appropriate performance measures to be produced including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics
Translates business problems into data analytics requirements and solutions that deliver value through analysing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions
Resolving raw data questions using a storytelling approach to provide business clients with detailed, actionable solutions
Consulting on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitating implementation of new tools
Support wider business requirements as required

Use data systems securely to meet requirements and in line with organisational procedures and legislation including principles of Privacy by Design
implement the stages of the data analysis lifecycle
apply principles of data classification within data analysis activity
analyse data sets taking account of different data structures and database designs
assess the impact on user experience and domain context on data analysis activity
identify and escalate quality risks in data analysis with suggested mitigation or resolutions as appropriate
undertake customer requirements analysis and implement findings in data analytics planning and outputs
identify data sources and the risks and challenges to combination within data analysis activity
apply organizational architecture requirements to data analysis activities
apply statistical methodologies to data analysis tasks
apply predictive analytics in the collation and use of data
collaborate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders using appropriate styles and behaviours to suit the audience
use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and convert into infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs
select and apply the most appropriate data tools to achieve the optimum outcome

Your training plan

As part of the Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship, they will complete the learning online through QA Limited and on-site learning at their dedicated DHL Supply Chain site

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

English (grade Grade C and above/4-9)
Maths (grade Grade C and above/4-9)
